Introduction
When most people think of Texas, lighthouses surely don't come to mind. But lighthouses play an important part of Texas history. Whether it be Texas' first at Bolivar Point in Galveston or it's last at a jetty near Sabine, these structures hardly receive the amount of credit they deserve. The purpose of this site is to present the history of these lights as well as many others in an organized manner for all. What started out as a site for one lighthouse (which still exists for the Bolivar Point lighthouse) has evolved to a site for over 30.

Updates April 25, 2008 After a long (very long) time I've decided to put this website back on. I missed having it and detailed information on these lights is desperately needed so the decision was easy (it helped that I had saved all my website files as well...) The forum and guestbook are offline though since I have no idea how to use anything on my new host...I'll figure it out eventually though. Til then, enjoy Texas Lights.info once again! |
